The SEED SWAP has begun!
Don't forget the countywide seed swap at all Delaware County public libraries. Bring in your unused seeds, leave a packet or two, and take seeds from our collection for some variety in your garden. While you're here, check out a book on gardening or any other subject! See you soon at the library--and HAPPY GARDENING!

Who's Joe Ryan?
There's nothing to match curling up with a good book when there's a repair job to be done around the house. ó Joe Ryan

Give me a Break!! by Alan Katz (to the tune of Home on the Range) "Oh give me a break, 'Cause I made a mistake, And my library book's overdue. The Fault is all mine- Oh boy, what a fine, It was due back in 2002! Home, home's where it's hid! This is such a bad thing that I did. And you might say, "Gee Whiz!" 'Cause the book's title is.... Connecting Mind, Body and Spirit: A Springtime Lecture Series!
Presented by Dr. Lilly Lei
Dr. Lilly Lei, physician and practitioner of western and eastern healing arts, (as well as long-time patron of our library!), presents a lecture and discussion series, on three Wednesday evenings in April and May: April 22, May 6 and 13, at 6 pm at the library.
Lilly will explain health, symptoms and illness from both the western and the eastern/energetic point of view, helping the listener to better understand and connect mind, body and spirit. Dr. Leiís hope is that she will discuss current and collective beliefs and bring a different perspective to how we approach our health and well-being.
Topics include but are not limited to:
What is healing? Are we made of energy or matter and what does spirit have to do with this? What do we know about the mind? Why do people say one thing and do another? Does having different levels of awareness influence our quality of health? What are some beliefs around food and its connection to body, mind and spirit?
Suggested donation of $3, all proceeds go to the Bovina Public Library
