About the event
Local Landscapes is a group exhibition celebrating the quiet beauty of Bovina and the surrounding countryside through the eyes of local artists. Featuring paintings, textiles, drawings, and collages by Suzanne Ausnit, Steve Burnett, Mike Casey, Sandra Finkenberg, Anne Gohorel, Lori Glavin, Gary Mayer, Joe Miller, Richard Kirk Mills, and Susan Yelavich, the exhibition explores the fields, forests, back roads, and changing skies that shape life in this corner of the Catskills.
Each artist brings a unique perspective, revealing the extraordinary in places we pass every day. Together, their work invites visitors to slow down, look closely, and rediscover the landscapes that make Bovina home.
The exhibition will be on view in the library's downstairs gallery from July 17 through September 23, 2026, during regular library hours. Admission is free, and all are welcome.
