Treasurer’s Report

• Received 2024 990s; completed for the year

• Grant money to use -- $13,327; cannot purchase furniture or computers

  • The gutters on the back of the building are in good shape

  • Use $ to fix the walkway and improve it; contractor meeting on 4/9

• Marni shared information on how to put the library budget needs on the ballot

  • For a $40K annual budget, it would increase taxes by $.98 per $1,000 assessed

  • M/S/A to move forward with the budget petition and next steps

Librarian’s Report

• Roxbury Arts Group grant approved

• Livestock grants are available; deadline to submit early May

  • Annette to explore

• Community Foundation of South Central NY

  • Submitted an application letter asking for $18K support

• Programs

  • Soup – 46 attendees

  • Feldenkrais – 20 attendees

  • 3 other programs – 21 attendees

  • Seed exchange is ongoing – 7 participants to date

  • Meetings – provided space for 3 meetings with 19 participants

• Librarian is learning how to do the circulation stats

• Automation—meeting on 3/28 with 4CLS

  • Costs per year

• Receive a letter from Delaware Academy asking is the library is offering scholarships this year

• Received a donation from a relative of a former Bovina resident for $100. Thank you to Ray for helping them with genealogy information.

• The Bovina Montessori school is utilizing the library

• Three new library cards have been issued
